MEET MARISSA |

Livable luxury is the name of our game.  An East Texas native, Marissa Martin, is the owner and principal of MM Interiors.  Marissa holds an undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin, is a member of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Accessories Resource Team (ART) and is known for creating spaces that are timeless, sophisticated and most of all, livable.  

The scope of our projects range from commercial offices inclusive of a full build out to residential new construction and as small as adding custom draperies within a home.  Her unique background following graduation from the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin led her down a path of working for several prestigious Fortune 500 companies including JCPennney and their partnership with Sephora.  In this role, she was given the honor and opportunity to visit and guest lecture to many undergraduate and Masters students who were working toward their own degrees in Textiles and Merchandising throughout the premier colleges across the United States.  

With her strong business acumen and background, Marissa also provides her clients with project management and confidence with selecting and staying within a set budget for projects.  She is known for a broad range of interior styles but her passion is transitional style with a meticulous eye for details, art and the use of textiles.  It is important to create spaces that are not only beautiful to look at but comfortable for you to live in and great design always begins with a comprehensive understanding of clients expectations and needs.  Marissa has cultivated a team of skilled craftspeople and contractors allowing her to provide clients with a full range of design services across East Texas and beyond.

The biggest satisfaction is seeing the spaces she creates provide joy and a background for life’s greatest moments, no matter how big or small.  She is passionate about the use of color and has a strong industry knowledge that allows her to create original designs that reflect client’s lifestyle, personality and goals for their spaces.

In her spare time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her husband John, daughter Ruby and project sidekick, cavapoochon Emma.  She can often be found with her and John’s extended family, their friends, giving back to the East Texas community and traveling (preferably to a beach or a Texas Longhorn football game) when time allows.
